Simple and Awesome Shipping Container Cabin

I found this really simple shipping container turned cabin a while back on Youtube and wanted to share it with you today.  On the inside it is very simple in regards to furnishings and utilities.

This would make a great little guest house.  The only complaint I would have are the small windows, but it has large sliding glass doors to make up for that.  The small round windows are neat anyway.

Turf Houses as Sustainable Architecture

Turf houses are very well insulated for tough climates. They use the earth sheltering process to maintain indoor temperatures. This is a form of sustainable architecture that dates back over 1000 years.

The foundation is usually made of flat stones. Above the stones a wood frame is built which holds the turf.
