Tiny House Paintings by Tracy Booth

Today’s post features Tracy Booth’s inspiring tiny house paintings.  It’s great to see someone who has dedicated an art series to small spaces.  So here is some of Tracy’s wonderful work…

“My name is Tracy Booth and I am an independent artist working and living in Western North Carolina.  My paintings have been exhibited in several regional galleries and art festivals.Inspired by the desire for a quiet life, these tiny paintings are ideal for a tiny home, or for anyone who dreams of a simpler life.” ~ Tracy Booth

“The positive effect of kindness on the immune system and on the increased production of serotonin in the brain has been proven in research studies. Serotonin is a naturally occurring substance in the body that makes us feel more comfortable, peaceful, and even blissful. In fact, the role of most anti-depressants is to stimulate the production of serotonin chemically, helping to ease depression. Research has shown that a simple act of kindness directed toward another improves the functioning of the immune system and stimulates the production of serotonin in both the recipient of the kindness and the person extending the kindness. Even more amazing is that persons observing the act of kindness have similar beneficial results. Imagine this! Kindness extended, received, or observed beneficially impacts the physical health and feelings of everyone involved!”

Tiny House in the woods and Inspiration June 16 2010

tiny-house-in-the-woods

I ran into this awesome picture that stbeck posted on Flickr, he always adds interesting pictures of small structures.  I noticed right away that it had tail lights and is actually sitting on a trailer so it’s sort of like a hut on wheels.  I wonder what it’s doing in the woods!

I also wanted to follow up with an awesome quote from Bill Strickland.  He’s an incredible entrepreneur who wrote Make the Impossible Possible which I’ve recently read and highly recommend for everyone.

“The sand in the hourglass flows only one way. Don’t waste precious time chasing someone else’s definition of success. Live your life with purpose now. Look for the things that inspire you, trouble you, make you feel most alive, and trust in those things to shape your future. They will give you all your heart could ever wish for.”
Bill Strickland

Enjoy your day!

Happy Tiny House

I had to feature this quotation from Mother Teresa…

“Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.”

Find simple ways to begin reuniting once again with your loved ones. This is where our future starts getting brighter as people. When we work together because of love and compassion–we can do anything.

So make your home a happy one.
